For this exercise we were asked to sit and look at a view north and then work out way round doing different angles to get a sight of all different scenes but from the seating spot to realise there are so many different sketches you can make from just one spot.
Again due to recent circumstances I had to do this exercise from my garden due to lockdown, I’m lucky enough to be able to have a nice view from my garden so thought I’d jump at the chance of sketching from a spot there. Here is the pictures of my result;

I think this exercise was fairly similar to the last one except all of your sketches are from the same place just different directions, again I did enjoy this exercise and it does make you appreciate the sights in front of you whilst you’re deciding what textures and techniques to draw throughout, due to this exercise being fast paced quick sketches again the pictures aren’t high detail but I still do think the exercise helps you realise that different positions create different pictures and not just to focus on one angle.
All in all I think these sketches turned out well, I didn’t use much detail as I just wanted to capture the landscape and it was an exercise for fast sketches just to take in the scenery and get used to going quick sketches and taking the detail in quickly. I do like the turnout in these pictures and I found it interesting looking in the same spot and turning round to get different views. I will continue to do quick sketches such as this because I think it helps with your visions on different things. If I was to improve this piece I would have loved to get out to some new scenery and capture something different but I couldn’t do that in this circumstance.
