Hockney has experimented in all different medias and materials throughout his artwork and focused on all different subjects for his art.

Below is a picture “Garrowby Hill” by Hockney and showing off his vibrant blocks colours which create these great pieces.

Garrowby Hill David Hockney

I absolutely love this work! I love the bright bold colours choices and the pop art sense to it all, the colours really stand out and I love the different choices of textures throughout. I like the way it isn’t realistic but still represents an image that we know is real. I think this piece really would stand out and does stand out and it’s a different approach to all different landscape art work, this art really is unique and is different to anything else I have seen. I would love to look more into this style of art and consider doing more bold colours instead of making everything look so realistic all the time.

All in all I love this artist’s style of work and it has really opened my eyes to a different approach to creating landscape art, I would love to experiment with bold colours like this and do it in my own way. I find this art fun and so uplifting.
